After the weeks of protest by the students at Jantar Mantar At New Delhi and at many other location against the NEET examination paper leak and suicide of students between 11 - 20 NEET aspirants, today on Saturday 25-July-2026 Dharmendra Pradhan sent a resignation letter to the Prime Minister.
He officially announced on "X" about his resignation along with written document of his resignation.
Since the protest started by CJP at Jantar Mantar New Delhi the main Demand of the protesters was the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan from the Education Minister Post.
Dharmendra Pradhan served as a Union Minister of Education since following the election to the 18th LOK Sabha 2025.
